Public Service Awards—Celebrating 50 Years
In 1959, the Crystal Lake Jaycees held the first ever Public Service Awards to honor Paul H. Fredrick with a Distinguished Service Award for his service to the Crystal Lake community. Since then, the Crystal Lake Jaycees have recognized over 250 individuals that have continued to "Make a Difference" in our community. You might recognize some of our past award winners such as Richard Bernotas, Carl Wehde, Kenneth Fetzner, John Hussman, Bill Dwyer, Johnathan Collins, Chief Howard Parth, Ken Koehler, Michael Tyron, Rev. Mike Marshall and Bob Blazier to name a few.
The Crystal Lake Jaycees run approximately 75 projects each year providing leadership skills to our members through community service projects. The Public Service Awards is one of the Crystal Lake Jaycees' pillar projects where we recognize other individuals that share our passion of community and public service to Crystal Lake.
The Public Service Awards are funded completely with donations from Sponsor organizations and individuals. We rely on community members, like yourself to nominate the unsung heroes and shining stars of Crystal Lake.
View information on past award recipients, our award categories, sponsorship opportunities, donations and how to nominate an individual through the menu navigation.
