We have begun our annual Share-A-Christmas project to benefit the less fortunate families of Crystal Lake. In the 48 years since this project’s inception, we have helped thousands of families and touched many more lives. With the support of donors like you, we are able to bring the joy of the holiday season to those in need.

The current state of the economy brings us our most challenging year in recent memory.  We expect a record number of applications for our program.  A challenging year requires us to reinvent the project to assist as many families as we can.  This year, we introduce the ADOPT A FAMILY concept.

With the Adopt A Family option, donors like yourself have the ability to determine not only your giving level, but also shop directly for the family or family members enrolled in the program.  By selecting this option, we will contact you within 3 business days to give you the ability to select the family member that you would like to purchase for.   We will give you clothing sizes, necessities and a list of items that the family member needs.   Then you purchase the items at any store you choose and drop off the wrapped items at our convenient drop off locations.

We are routinely humbled by the countless children gleefully confessing Christmas lists filled with modest items, like a new backpack for school, a coat or a new pair of jeans. There is no greater reward than seeing a family so overcome by the generosity of others, that they are brought to tears. (We are too!)
