Q: How does the Adopt A Family / Virtual Giving Tree work?

A: The Adopt A Family concept gives you the opportunity to "adopt" a family, part of a family, or one child and provide them gifts for the holiday season. After committing to Adopt a Family or a portion of a family, you will be contacted by a Jaycee Family Coordinator who will give you the information on the wish lists for each person including clothing and shoe sizes. You then shop for the family, wrap the items and then drop off at our convenient storefront location in Crystal Lake.

Q: Can I Adopt Multiple Families?

A: Yes you can adopt as many families / persons as you can financially afford, there is no limit.

Q: Do I have to spend $50 per person, can I spend more?

A: We recommend roughly $50 per person in clothing and gifts. This does not mean you are required to spend $50 per person, it just gives an idea for you to budget. If you have the ability to spend more, please do. If you have found a good deal on clothing or gift items and have only spent $40 and have been able to fulfill the wish list, this is perfect.
