2010 Confidence Pool for Burleson Scholarships

Come join the 2010 Confidence Pool with the Crystal Lake Jaycees.

The National Football League (NFL) is composed of a 17-week regular season in which each team plays 16 games. “Building Confidence” allows participants to follow the entire NFL regular season by picking weekly winners. During each week of the regular season, participants will rank winners according to how “confident” they are a team will win. The maximum number of games in any given regular season is 16. If a participant is almost guaranteed a team will win, he can allot that team with the highest point value of 16. Points are awarded only if a person has selected that team to win for the week.

 

Entry is $25. $5 from each entry goes to fund the Burleson Scholarship. Each week, the player with the highest score will receive $17 ($1 x 17 weeks). In case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the total number of points in the Monday night game (without going over). In addition to weekly winners, the person with the highest cumulative score will receive 60 percent of the remaining pool. The player with the second highest cumulative score will receive 40 percent of the remaining pool.

 

 Weekly winnings will be handed out at the monthly GM or after-GM social. “Building Confidence” is open to Jaycees and relatives and close friends of Jaycees. Updates will be posted each week on the chapter’s website. In addition, other social media avenues including Twitter and Facebook also will provide updates.
