About The Crystal Lake Jaycees

“Our Crystal Lake chapter was established in 1951 and has been building leaders and helping our community for over 60 years!

The Crystal Lake Jaycees is the ONLY community service organization focused on developing YOU while helping the community at the same time.

The Crystal Lake Jaycees are a nationally awarded chapter.  We have run over 100 projects a year, some big some small. The majority of our projects do benefit the community we all live in. Contrary to popular belief, serving the community is fun! Jaycees, more formally known as “Junior Chamber of Commerce,” take pride in giving young adults, age 18-41, hands-on experience running projects and leading others.  Through these experiences our members gain working knowledge of project planning, management, budgeting, marketing, networking and collaboration.

The result is a win-win scenario for our members. While learning leadership skills, Jaycees make a real difference in the community to help build playgrounds, collect food and give the greatest gifts for those in need. In Jaycees, you’ll find optimistic people fueling their passions.  The Jaycees mission allows this since we are not commited to just projects for the children, the elderly,etc.. The sky is the limit. We can do it all.  If you have a passion or a need you would like to bring light to in the community. Whether you are the expert or you want to learn, the Jaycees are the ones that can help you realize it.  Members find community service as a privilege and pleasurable, not a punishment. If that’s how you see things too, then consider getting involved today! Some people have time, some have money, we need both to be productive and continue our mission. To learn more about getting involved in this unique organization call our hotline today at 815-356-JCJC or email us at membership@cljaycees.org

We are a proud member of the Fox Valley Region Jaycees, the US Junior Chamber, and the Junior Chamber International.  The chapter is also a  member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and Lakeside Legacy Foundation.
